Your own cabin in the woods to work.
Offsite runs an artist residency out of our cabin. It's the heart and soul of what we do - creating spaces for creative lives. The cabin has been designed to be the ultimate creative escape, and we want you to go make something there.
The stay
Three trips of two nights each, taken between June and October. You choose the dates with us. It's deliberately not one long block: most people get more out of returning to a place than out of arriving at it once.
Who it's for
Any medium. Painters, writers, photographers, musicians, people who make things that don't have a tidy name. We give priority to artists whose work is inspired by nature and the outdoors, and who can use the site as their muse.
The work
It doesn't have to be finished on site, and for most media it won't be. What we do ask is that it's finished within six months of your first visit. That's the only hard deadline in the whole thing.
What you need to apply
A link to a portfolio, a website, or wherever your work lives. If you already know what you'd like to make up there, tell us - and if you don't, that's a fine answer too. Plenty of good work starts as a reason to go somewhere.
235 square feet of creative retreat.
The practical part.
- How many people can stay?
- Two. The cabin sleeps two, and that is a hard limit rather than a preference.
- Can I bring my dog?
- No pets, unfortunately.
- Is there power and internet?
- It is fully off-grid, and it has Starlink. You can work up there.
- Do I need a car?
- Yes. There is no way to reach the site or get supplies without one.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing. The stay is free. You cover your own food and your own transportation.
- What if I am not chosen?
- We offer an artist discount on renting the cabin, so you can still come up.
