01 — Practice

Two halves of one practice.

We design buildings, and we build the software that gets them made. Like a craftsman who creates his own jigs, we design tools to handle our own, ever-changing work.

02 — Craft

Technology in service of craft.

Building is part science, part art. We believe technology can help us build better homes - from how we find and underwrite development, to how we design the building envelope and its systems. It's an integral part of our practice - but not at the expense of beauty.

03 — What we do

For owners, developers and investors.

  1. 01FeasibilityWhat the project can hold, and what it will cost to build
  2. 02DesignPlans, sections and a 3D model you can actually read
  3. 03Building scienceEnvelope, glazing and all-electric systems, modelled early
  4. 04PermittingThe submission, the board, and the schedule it really takes
  5. 05ConstructionBidding, the trades we know, and oversight to the drawings
  6. 06SoftwareCustom software for your firm, built into how you already work

04 — The work

We like to get our hands dirty.

We're heavily involved in every project. We help design, underwrite, oversee construction - even build custom software for each project.

05 — Software

We built the tools we needed.

Aldo is our in-house development platform. It's an operating system for residential construction that keeps everyone involved aligned and with access to the same information. You can use it on your own, or we'll manage your project for you. Its zoning data covers the Hudson Valley today.
